Athom goes to the Consumer Electronics Show

We are proud to see Athom, one of tenants from the Spinnerij Oosterveld,  growing in to new and bigger markets! Athom, creator of Homey, was founded in 2014 by Emile Nijssen and Stefan Witkamp. Their team is based in the Spinnerij, a World of Walas project, and both are growing at lightning speed. The team now consists of many enthusiastic and skilled technicians working on the Homey. Together they want to make sure that they make technology simple, user-friendly and fun for everyone. The Homey was a big success at Kickstarter and will undoubtedly be succesfull as well at the Consumer Electronics Show!

The Homey is a smart device that connects electronics in your home, to control all of your “smart” devices from one central point. The Homey connects across thousands of brands and technologies. This way you can control your home using one app. You can automate devices in your home, play your favourite music and save energy with the insights from the Homey. It is the central place for your smart home.

During the Consumer Electronics Show, a new version of the Homey will be unveiled for the US.. The Homey will be introduced to new markets in 2018.

Nowadays, there are more and more different “smart” systems that are applicable in the house. A truly smart home, in which devices work together perfectly, is a lot harder to realize. Many of the devices in our homes have already been labelled as “smart”, such as the television, thermostat, wireless switches, speakers and lightbulbs. The Homey combines all these wireless and “smart” devices at home in a user-friendly and smart system.

From January 9 to January 12, 2018, the Consumer Electronics Show will take place in Las Vegas. This large electronics fair in the United States showcases various technical products and gadgets. Athom will participate in this great event together with the Dutch StartupDelta platform, to promote their product, the Homey.
