Bridging the Bike Gap at Dudoc Vancouver

Dudoc, our Walas innovation centre based in Vancouver Canada , hosted “Can Vancouver Go Dutch?,” an event organized by Modacity and the Dutch Cycling Embassy. Over 100 people attended to hear from speakers on how we can bridge the gap between Dutch national cycling rates of 27% and Canadian national cycling rates of 2%. With backgrounds in architecture, urban planning and civil/municipal engineering, guests were able to learn about Dudoc’s many partners in sustainability innovation and design.
Vancouver is now facing many of the challenges that the Dutch people had to contend with decades ago to make their country more bikable. Dudoc  is proud to be part of this knowledge sharing between European and North American cities and looks forward to seeing exciting innovations as the city diversifies their transportation infrastructure and achieves their transit goals.
